We’d like to thank the participants of the 2014 Westchester Corporate Cup 5k Summer Race Series. We significantly broadened our roster of sponsors, expanded the series from two races to three and more than doubled the average number of race participants from 2013.

We also added a charitable component to last year’s race series. Thanks to our sponsors and participants, we raised $3,000 for the Continuum of Care, an affiliation of Westchester community services organizations. The money we raised last year will be used to fund housing for Westchester’s homeless, with a high percentage of the funds raised going directly to those in need. Karl Bertrand, the Continuum’s director, asked us to direct these funds to Hope Community Services of New Rochelle, one of the Continuum’s largest participating organizations.

On December 9, 2014 we had the opportunity to present the $3,000 check to representatives of the Continuum of Care and Hope Community Services.
