With the continual goals of boosting race participation and increasing our charitable contribution, we are excited to announce the race dates for the 2016 Westchester Corporate Cup 5K Summer Race Series. The three summer race events will be held on Wednesday evenings on June 15th, July 20th, and August 10th at 6:30 PM. Electronic registration links will be available at the beginning April 1st but you can download the PDF flyer here.
We’d like to whole-heartedly thank the sponsors and participants of last year’s Westchester Corporate Cup 5k Summer Race Series. We funded the race series through a combination of sponsor contributions and race registration fees. Thanks to our sponsors and race participants, we raised $5,000 for Hope Community Services of New Rochelle. You can read more below in the section titled, “Where does the contribution go”?The race series last year enabled us to donate $5,000 to Hope. Where Does the Contribution Go?
The charitable contribution will go to Hope Community Services, a New Rochelle-based organization, which has become the largest emergency food pantry and soup kitchen in the region. Even though Hope has several housing programs, we take pride in highlighting their focus on housing homeless veterans throughout Westchester county through their permanent housing program via the City of New Rochelle Re-housing Initiative (CNR) and the Westchester Continuum of Care.
