The second race of 2017 Westchester Corporate Cup 5k Summer Race Series was held on Wednesday, July 12th at Purchase College. We had a good turnout for the second race of the year!
Congratulations to the Broadridge Men’s and Women’s team for coming in first in the Corporate Team categories and to the Dorian Drake Co-ed team. Congrats also to NICHOLAS PERETTA and KELLY BAKER for placing 1st overall male and female respectively.
Please note that all proceeds from our race series go directly to Hope Community Services to help feed the underprivileged living in New Rochelle and supporting programs throughout Westchester County.
Thank you to all of our corporate sponsors, whom without this effort wouldn’t be possible, all race/walk participants, and to our great volunteers who helped set up the race and man the water stations. At the water stations, in fact, we had Terry Hamburger and staff from Hope Community Services. The event could not have been such a success without you all!
In addition to the wonderful organizations that consistently come out on race day, we want to thank Dorian Drake International for all of the volunteers, Heritage Realty and Pearlgreen Corporation for providing great food and snacks, PKF O’Connor Davies for supplying event seating and tables, Noosa Yoghurt for supplying a nice finish line snack. Thank you to Rita’s Ice of Elmsford for supplying Ice treats on a beautiful day. The Arena came out as well and led an awesome dynamic stretch before the race and provided great massages and stretches to many of the runners. You can definitely see its impact in the results! Thanks to Patty Franco from Elements Massage for the free Swedish Massage raffle.
